GetResponse is a reliable email marketing service that also has some marketing automation capabilities aimed at small to midsize businesses (SMBs). It's got an attractive price tag and a good-size list of enticing third-party integrations. Since we last tested it, GetResponse has added several enhancements including web push notifications and email chat. It's also improved automation workflows and expanded SMS text marketing. Additionally, there is a new and sharp focus on integrating with third-party e-commerce platforms. All that together makes GetResponse a notable choice even if it lacks some of the more advanced features you'll find in our email marketing Editors' Choice winners, Campaigner and  Mailchimp. Get leads. Get sales. Get growing. [2]

On the marketing automation front, GetResponse isn't a bare bones solution either, though you might think so at first glance due to its linear and somewhat sparse user interface. Dig into it, however, and you'll find a nicely logical workflow that'll walk you through the automation process without much of a learning curve. That makes this tool a good starting point for beginners, though it also keeps it just slightly behind our automation Editors' Choice winners, HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce Pardot.

GetResponse Pricing and Plans All-in-one software

As far as pricing goes, GetResponse is looking to appeal as broad a swath of customers as possible by offering a wide cost options. The least expensive plan is the $15-per-month Basic tier, which lets you contact up to 1,000 subscribers. However, that tier doesn't have access to the new Autofunnel feature (more on that below), which is useful enough to be attractive even to small businesses. Perfect Timing

Still, the Basic tier offers some flexibility, like adding additional subscriber numbers in small price blocks. Using those a small business with 2,500 contacts would pay $25 per month. That's one of the lowest prices we've seen for those kinds of contact numbers. It becomes an even better deal when you consider that GetResponse doesn't impose any email sending limits, which is becoming a common practice among competing email marketing services. This contact expansion in the Basic plan scales up to a maximum of $450 per month for 100,000 contacts.
Pricing: Save 18% with an annual plan
Each plan is available on a month-to-month basis. If you sign up for an annual contract, then the price goes down 18% for all tiers. If you prepay for two years, then you get a 30% discount. Contrast that with higher end Editors' Choice winner, Campaigner, and you'll find no such discounts for annual sign-ups.

The Plus plan is next on the list and will run you $49 per month also with a 1,000 max contact list limit. Again, you can increase that for additional dollars up to a maximum of $499 for 100,000 contacts. This tier does everything the Basic tier does, but adds the Autofunnel feature as well as the automation builder and basic webinars (up to 100 attendees).
